The Perfect Shot Semester 2 Week 8

This week our team focused on preparing for our midterm presentation. This presentation encompassed a brief overview of what our team accomplished during the last semester and what we have worked towards since the beginning of this semester. With that in mind, we mainly focused on our finished products and the data that has been gathered. The finished product resulted in several rims, each consisting of different radii ranging from regulation size upwards to 26 in., and small square tubing welded onto each of those rims. Those small tubing pieces would be able to slide into a large square tubing on a bracket that is able to be attached to a standard backboard.

Aside from that, our team demonstrated the process we took in order to develop the pieces described above. We talked about the struggles and solutions we had to determine throughout our development. Additionally, we explained the results of our data and how the testing took place.

We proceeded to answer some of the questions that were asked after our presentations such as, What were the difficulties when testing the children? If there was any implied bias or motivation throughout the testing? and if the children were shooting with proper form?

After answering these questions, we concluded by stating that the rest of our semester would be focused on gathering data and adjusting our prototype or shooting lengths to match that or improve the following results.
